A negative print of a blow up depicting the location of the residential containers of the AlpTransit workers’ village in Airolo. The “missing spaces” are all that is left of that unknown village: grooves in the empty field where it used to stand. The negative print emphasises even further the duality of the vision: the emptiness contains only the memory of what used to be, a reproduction that makes no concession to reality while simultaneously manifesting the passage of those invisible identities.
