The installation, built on the Ceresio lake near Morcote, refers to primitive stilt-house buildings. It is an archetype, as this non-dwelling does not have any windows: the only point of access is an opening in the floor. The structure is not meant to be lived in and an adult would not fit in it. It allows the viewer, who wears a kind of helmet, to reconnect with lost and distant perceptions. The metal plates and the wood of which it is made, salvaged from old buildings, testify to the artist’s desire to build a circular relationship between artwork and location.
